GOIL inaugurates Tema Regional Zone Office

Kpone (Near Tema), May 27, GNA – The GOIL Company Limited on Thursday inaugurated an ultra-modern office complex for the Tema Zone Office to serve Volta, and Oti Regions as well as Tema, Ashiaman Municipal, Kpone, and Somanya Districts.

Mr Kwame Osei-Prempeh, GOIL Group Chief Executive Officer noted that the company has over the last few years, tried to modernize its infrastructure to be in tune with its modernization and expansion drive to support Government empowerment of local industries.

He said GOIL is a local company with a mission of transformation into an efficient and profitable entity in the petroleum industry with the customer at the core of its business.

He noted that GOIL embarked on a successful rebranding drive, aimed at giving a fresh breath to the company, which also manifested in the upgrading of its service stations, improvement in customer service, and ensure quality products.

Mr Osei-Prempeh who was speaking at the commissioning of the modern office complex at Kpone near Tema explained that as part of the drive, GOIL has constructed and commissioned new offices at Kumasi, and Tamale.

“This ultra-modern Zonal Office for Tema is, therefore, part of the modernization drive intended to position the company to take full advantage of increased business opportunities the port expansion presents,” the GOIL Managing Director explained.

He said GOIL Board of Directors, management, and staff would continue to ensure that the new corporate culture dubbed “Good energy comes with a Smile”, continue to serve as an important attribute aimed at exciting the customer.

Mr Osei-Prempeh said GOIL the foremost indigenous Oil Marketing Company has maintained its leadership in the downstream petroleum sector since 2002 and has been a major player in all the other industry products it markets.

He said; “The increasing growth in business occasioned by the expansion and modernization of the Tema port makes it imperative for GOIL to adequately prepare and capitalise on that opportunity.

The commission was graced with traditional authorities including the Gbetsele Mantse Nii Tei Kojo Amanqwah Sune I; others from Akwamu Traditional Area; Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Chief Executive, Mr Solomon Tettey Appiah; as well as heads of some corporate bodies such as GCB Bank, Police, Fire Service, and VRA.
