London, Feb 15, (dpa/GNA) – A long-lost cat has returned to its home in Scotland after going missing nearly four years ago, animal welfare charity SPCA said on Monday.
Bella went missing from her home in Dunfermline the day her owners came back home from holiday in 2017.
On January 29, she was found soaking wet and sheltering under a car around 15 miles away.
Joel Caldicott and his three sons were “astonished” that Bella would be returning home.
“We were completely shocked but elated too,” Caldicott said. “Our sons are just thrilled to have Bella back … She was a bit unsure for the first few days but now it’s like she’s never been away.”
Bella had been microchipped, meaning that the animal welfare charity could care for Bella until the Caldicotts were contacted.
