Accra, May 8, GNA – The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Ghana has extended support to its athletes by providing some relief items to them following the Coronavirus pandemic.
A statement signed by Mr. Peter Adjei, Secretary-General of NPC said that items have been acquired through various initiatives to reduce challenges faced by the athletes during the COVID-19 era.
“With the rescheduling of the Tokyo Games Paralympic Games to August 2021, we are aware and can relate to the frustration and ongoing disappointment of our athletes and officials have had to ensure.
“We are in constant discussion with the International Paralympic Committee and are hopeful that things would return to normalcy soon,” the statement said.
The statement urged athletes to observe the COVID-19 protocols and preferably stay home and observe social distancing.
