Accra, May 25, GNA – Mr. Ben Nunoo Mensah – President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), has sent a goodwill message to Muslims in Ghana and accross the globe, as they celebrate the end of their 30-day fasting period.
A statement from the GOC President said, “On behalf of the Ghana Olympic Committee we say congratulations for the 30 days of fasting. May the Almighty Allah grant and accept your prayers,”.
The statement said, “I am optimistic that the 30-days fasting by Muslims would have positive impact on the COVID-19 pandemic for sports to return in the country soon.
“We must however to adhere to the precautionary measures and protocols outlined by the government and stay home to stop the spread of the Coronavirus,” he said.
