Blood samples of some of the traced contacts had already been taken and sent to Kumasi and Accra for testing.

In all, 110 market places including lorry stations have been fumigated in the Region.
The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development engaged Zoomlion Ghana Limited to carry out the mass spraying exercise as part of government’s effort to contain the spread of the virus in the country.

Dr. Bin-Salih thanked the Traditional rulers and traders for their co-operation, which he said led to the success of the exercise in the Region.

He urged all to continue to observe the regular hand washing with soap under running water and the social distancing protocols among others in order to stay safe and also stop any possible spread of the virus.
