Accra, Nov.29, GNA – Lead for Ghana (LFG), an organization dedicated to advancing quality education and leadership, has called on the youth to actively participate in building a stronger Ghana as it celebrated its tenth anniversary.

Mr. Daniel Dotse, Chief Executive Officer, LFG, made the call during the organization’s 10th anniversary celebration dinner held in Accra.

The event, held on the theme “Bold Narratives, New Horizons,” brought together alumni, fellows, partners, staff, and supporters to reflect on the organization’s remarkable journey, celebrate its achievements, and share its vision for the future since its founding in 2014.

In his address, Mr. Dotse urged the youth to take an active role in shaping the country’s future.

He likened Ghana to a ship with a small hole, at risk of sinking because its people are focused on other matters instead of addressing the problems beneath the surface.

He pointed out that despite Ghana’s breathtaking beauty, abundant resources, and extraordinary potential, the nation risks drifting aimlessly due to neglecting critical issues like gaps in education, corruption, inequality, apathy, and mistrust.

Despite these challenges, Mr. Dotse expressed optimism, stating that the problems are surmountable if the youth come together to help address them.

He encouraged young people to take the initiative and not wait for an invitation, urging them to “take their seat at the table.”

The anniversary celebration also highlighted the impact LFG has had across the country.

Since its establishment, LFG has recruited and trained 800 leaders who have made a difference in the lives of 133,000 students in 170 rural schools across Ghana.

Stakeholders and alumni who have played a key role in LFG’s success were honored with awards at the event.

The event also served as a fundraiser to support LFG’s future expansion plans, aiming to further extend the reach of its programmes in the coming years.
