Kwahu Mpraeso (E/R), Nov. 22, GNA – The Kwahu South Municipal Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has organised an educational outreach programme for first-time voters in second cycle schools in the district.
The NCCE team visited the Bepong Senior High School and the Kwahu Ridge Senior High School where students were educated on the voting process and the importance of maintaining peace during the elections.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Ticklar Asante-Asiamah, the Municipal NCCE Director, said the programme was aimed at promoting a peaceful and informed 2024 election.
She also emphasised the role of peace in ensuring a stable electoral process, urging students to act as advocates for harmony in their communities.
She, therefore, advised them to desist from political influence against malpractice and politicians inciting them to indulge in political violence during and after the elections.
