Yabram (O/R) May 29, GNA – Mr Evans Yaw Dapaah, the incumbent Chairman of the Oti Region of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been retained.
He polled 123 votes, while Mr Adjei Ntim, his closest contender polled 58 votes with Mr Stephen Benyaseh Alewabah gaining 15 votes.
Mr Felix Ade won the Regional Organizer position, while Mr Jonathan Manu Akpabeh was elected as secretary. Madam Alice Mensah was elected as regional woman’s organizer Aliu Basbiru Sharubutu as Nasara Coordinator and Mr Prince Amanor won Youth organizer.
Madam Doris Abronyeh Kumah was elected as Second Vice, Mr Collins Yaw Ahenkora Castro won First Vice and Mr Daniel Assidu won Assistant Secretary.
The election was peaceful and supporters of the victors jubilated till midnight.
The election was witnessed by Madam Rita Asobayeri, Nation First Vice, Kofi Mensah Dematia, Ambassador to the Republic of Togo, Council of elders and Mr Joshua Gmayenaam Makubu, Oti Regional Minister.
