Gas leakage forces traffic diversion on Accra-Achimota highway

Accra, May 24, GNA — Traffic on the Accra-Achimota Highway has been diverted from Avenor through to the Industrial Area due to a gas leakage at a gas filling station opposite the National Police Training School (NPTS), Tesano.

A news brief from the Police said traffic had also been diverted from Apenkwa along the Achimota Highway through the North Industrial Area.

It said the Ghana National Fire Service and Police personnel were currently at the scene and managing the situation.

The brief advised all approaching motorists to follow Police directives and adhere to the traffic arrangements.

It said further update would be communicated in due course.
