Accra, Nov. 18, GNA – EL-Empire, a skills development organisation and BeScience, a social enterprise, in collaboration with the Pentecost University are set to hold the second Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Social Ghana Conference.
The conference, second in a series after another organised in Sierra Leone in 2019, will be held at the Pentecost International Worship Centre in Accra December 9, 2021.
A statement signed by Mr David Kyetong Guun, Communication Lead, STEM Social Ghana Conference, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said: “the conference is expected to draw over 3000 participants comprising students, guests and exhibitors.”
The objective of the conference, the statement said, was to stimulate the study and exploration of science, technology, mathematics, engineering and related fields, stressing that it would also educate participants on career opportunities that exist in STEM fields.
According to the statement, the conference would comprise workshops, panel discussions and exhibitions in a social environment.
“The panel shall include leading scientists and prominent persons who are driving highly intensive scientific businesses and institutions such as Nuguchi Memorial Center, Uber Technologies Ghana, MEST Africa, National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), selected ministries and government agencies.”
EL-Empire and BeScience STEM are multi-award winning charities founded in the UK to provide means for young people to creatively explore STEM subjects in their communities to change misconceptions and break down barriers.
