Accra, Dec 11, GNA – The 2014 alumni of the African University College of Communications (AUCC) have congratulated Ms Ebi Bright on her victory in the Tema Central Parliamentary elections, held on Saturday, December 7.
Madam Bright, who represented the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was declared winner with 18,539 votes while Mr Charles Forson of the New Patriotic Party had 18,421, and the Independent Candidate, Mr Frederick Aniagyei, gained 207 votes with 141 rejected ballots.
A statement issued by the AUCC Class of 2014, signed by Ms Sangmorkie Tetteh, a representative, and issued to the Ghana News Agency in Accra, on Wednesday said: “Bright’s determination and persistence paid off after her third attempt, earning her the parliamentary seat.”
It also celebrated her boldness and courage, noting that her journey was a testament to the power of consistency and hard work.
As a proud alumna of AUCC, and a member of the Class of 2014, Ms Bright holds a degree in Development Communication from the university.
Her victory is seen as a remarkable achievement, and the AUCC alumni expressed confidence that: “She will fulfill her promises to her constituents and earn their trust and support.”
