Accra, June, 28, GNA- Mr Andy Osei Okrah, Author and a pro-Youth Development Activist and Leader, is to launch “You Are a Leader” – a “time tested strategies for unearthing the leader in You” book.

A statement signed by Mr Okrah and copied to the Ghana News Agency said the 212-page book’s foreword was written by Dr Mohamed Ibn Chambas, a former Secretary General to the United Nations and First President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
It said the book navigated the delicate field of harnessing leadership skills for optimum corporate delivery and productivity at the global stage.
Dr Chambas in a preview, recommended the page-turner to corporate Ghana, saying: “It is a good read as it explores the myriad of opportunities available to leaders poised for increased productivity.”
The statement said avid readers described the book as a lamp post to re-engineering the leadership specific role in organisational development.
It said the Author, artfully brought to the fore, the immense benefits of true leadership in governance and the pivotal role leadership played in organisational success.
According to the statement, the Writer’s central, and over-arching theme, was unmistakable as he forcefully made a case for the recalibration of the leadership development frontier with user-friendly training modules.
It said many reviewers were of the conviction that the suggestion by the Author to policy makers to adopt mechanism to focus and train leaders on the continent was timely.
The statement said the Writer’s leadership journey experience debuted into the literary terrain and shot him into national prominence.
It said Mr Okrah, a Human Resource Consultant par excellence, had a wealth of experience as a leader, traits evidenced in his career and formation of pro-youth Foundation, Young Professionals and Youth Coalition (YPYC), which had, spanning a decade, modeled hundreds into responsible leadership positions globally.
” In effect, it is not my position as President of YPYC that makes me a leader. The leadership is by virtue of the influence I have had on people, the community, my team and not just the position I occupy,” it said.
The statement said he was a product of KNUST where he obtained his first degree and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.
