Peace Council applauds stakeholders for peaceful Aboakyer Festival

Winneba (C/R), June 14, GNA-The Winneba Office of the National Peace Council has praised the Chiefs, Asafo companies, Municipal Assembly, Media, Security Agencies, stakeholders and the people for their contributions to a peaceful 2022 edition of the Aboakyer festival.

Mr Matthew Eghan, the Chairman of the Winneba Peace Council, made the commendation in a letter he signed on behalf of the members of the Council to Neenyi Ghartey VII, the Effutu Paramount Chief, the Traditional Council and copied to the Ghana News Agency.

Mr Eghan said the Peace Council Secretariat was elated by the peaceful atmosphere that prevailed during the week-long celebration of the festival hence the commendation of stakeholders for their efforts and contributions towards the successful event.

“We are most grateful to all and sundry for their determination and hard work that resulted in the success of this year’s festival.

“The council hope to use its rich expertise to ensure that subsequent events in the Municipality are also celebrated without any hindrances,” he added.
