Impressive turnout characterises special Voting at Nkoranza

Nkoranza, (BE/R), Dec. 01, GNA – Voting is underway in the Nkoranza south constituency of the Bono East Region in the Electoral Commission’s (EC) special voting exercise for security services.

There is, however, impressive turnouts, when the Ghana News Agency (GNA) visited the polling centre at Nkoranza on Tuesday.

A total of 415 eligible voters in the constituency are expected to cast their ballots, Madam Ramatu Gingo, the Nkoranza Municipal Director of the EC told the GNA during a visit to the polling station on Tuesday.

She said voting materials arrived on time and added that all voters were mandated to go through COVID-19 health safety protocols.

Virtually, Mad. Gingo said all the agents of the various political parties were present and commended them for the level of comportment they had exhibited so far since voting started exactly 0700 hours.

Eligible security officers were sighted in queues patiently waiting to cast their ballots, in a calm atmosphere when the GNA visited the centre around 0845 hours,
